Teaching young people powerful self regulation strategies

The Calm Code

is a 1 Day Event for Students

 

This is a one and a half hour workshop which is open to all students in years 5-9 and teaches students the following principles:

 

1) Understanding and meeting the needs of your emotional brain

2) Zones of Emotion - A daily emotional check-in and regulation tool

3) I CAN Jar - 24 grounding strategies to help with sleep, anxiety, anger and emotional regulation

4) 12 Mindful Breathing Moment Cards - an effective in school regulation tool

5) Emotional Awareness Game and Feelings Tic-Tac-Toe - group and pair activities to encourage emotional awareness and empathy

6) Arts and Crafts activities for differentiation - templates for a Peace Chain, Emotional tools Chatterbox

7) Growth Work Activities - create a Happy Playlist and Calm Kit

8) Personal Peace pledge and Mood Control Planner

The fees for this workshop are based on travel, contact time and preparation time. Since I’m an ex teacher I’m always happy to work with up to 30 students in every workshop.
